Lucy's christening gown is made with Dupion silk and has lace panels inserted on two levels in the skirt. The lace is also on the bodice, overlapping over the skirt, and inserted in the mid-sleeves.
The back opens right up for ease of dressing baby and fastens with loops and covered buttons. The petticoat is attached at the waist to the gown due to the see-through effect of the lace.
